About this course

This course covers the heart of the Network+ exam and the foundation of every network: TCP/IP and routing. Covering approximately 4 hours and 1 minute of expert instruction across TCP/IP fundamentals and routing concepts, learners develop a deep understanding of how IP addressing, subnetting, and routing protocols enable inter-network communications. Learners benefit by mastering IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, subnetting and CIDR, NAT, and dynamic routing protocols including OSPF and BGP — knowledge that is directly tested throughout the Network+ exam and applied daily in network administration roles. online labs reinforce IP configuration and routing tasks. By the end of this course, learners will be able to configure IP addressing schemes, implement subnetting, and explain how packets are routed across networks.

What you will learn

  • How to design and implement IPv4 and IPv6 addressing schemes including subnetting, CIDR notation, and NAT for various network sizes
  • How to configure static routes and explain dynamic routing protocols including OSPF and BGP and their use cases
  • How to use TCP/IP diagnostic tools to troubleshoot addressing and routing issues in wired network environments
