Putting it All Together: Problem-Solve Like an Entrepreneur
Once you've learned about innovation, caring, and curiosity, you'll need to integrate them as you begin your journey as a technology innovator. You will be asked to articulate your idea using design thinking and learnings to craft an Evidence-Based Pitch Deck.
In this course, you will be introduced to the fundamentals of crafting effective prompts. You will gain an understanding of how to refine and optimize prompts for a range of use cases. You will also explore techniques like zero-shot, few-shot, and chain-of-thought prompting. Finally, you will learn to identify potential risks associated with prompt engineering.
Wrike is a versatile and customizable project management software that enables teams to coordinate tasks, track workflows and allows for easy and dynamic communication between team members. By the end of this project, you will learn about the utility of this digital project management tool, how to set up an account on Wrike and invite users to your workspace. You will familiarize yourself with the dashboard organization, learn how to create spaces, folders and projects, as well as creating tasks within a project. You will practice editing the task details and using the different view options to keep track of the tasks. Finally, you will learn how to use the calendar within Wrike, and how to create a calendar filter to show the tasks for a given project.
In this Capstone course, you will design a microcontroller-based embedded system. As an option, you can also build and test a system. The focus of your project will be to design the system so that it can be built on a low-cost budget for a real-world application. To complete this project you'll need to use all the skills you've learned in the course (programming microcontrollers, system design, interfacing, etc.). The project will include some core requirements, but leave room for your creativity in how you approach the project. In the end, you will produce a unique final project, suitable for showcasing to future potential employers.
Note that for the three required assignments you do NOT need to purchase software and hardware to complete this course. There is an optional fourth assignment for students who wish to build and demonstrate their system using an Arduino or Raspberry Pi. Please also note that this course does not include discussion forums.
Upon completing this course, you will be able to:
1. Write a requirements specification document
2. Create a system-level design
3. Explore design options
4. Create a test plan
By completing this course, learners will be able to assign and manage permissions that support collaboration, protect sensitive information, and conduct permission audits to ensure access aligns with compliance requirements. Secure Permissions Fast is designed for IT managers and security-minded leaders who need to make confident access decisions in dynamic environments. Rather than focusing on tools alone, this course helps learners build judgment around why permissions are granted, when they should be revisited, and how to evaluate risk. Through realistic scenarios, hands-on practice, and audit-focused exercises, learners apply targeted permission strategies and evaluate access using GDPR-informed principles such as least privilege and accountability. The course emphasizes decision-making over theory, helping learners move beyond “set-and-forget” access models. What makes this course unique is its focus on reasoning and defensibility. Learners don’t just configure permissions—they learn how to explain and justify access decisions to stakeholders, auditors, and leadership. By the end of the course, learners are equipped to manage permissions with confidence in compliance today.
This is a one-hour course for nontechnical audiences so they can understand how GenAI models are trained with the basics of the data science process through a simple interactive demo where they don't have to install or download any software.

This project-based course guides learners through the design and development of a fully functional calculator application using PyQt5 and Python. Starting from environment setup to interface layout and backend logic integration, learners will gain hands-on experience building real-world GUI applications.
The course begins by introducing key PyQt concepts, setting up a Python development environment in PyCharm, and installing essential packages. Through structured lessons, learners will design the graphical interface using widgets like QLabel, QPushButton, and geometric layout tools such as QRect. They will then implement core logic using object-oriented programming principles and PyQt’s signal-slot mechanism.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to construct a GUI from scratch, apply logical operations based on user input, and demonstrate a complete PyQt application with interactive features and clean visual structure. This course is ideal for developers seeking to apply their Python skills in desktop application development using PyQt.
